4 cucumbers, sliced
1-1/2 cups water
1-1/2 cups cider vinegar
1-1/2 cups sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic
3/4 tsp. celery seeds
1/2 tsp. onion salt
1/2 tsp. celery salt

Directions:

Combine water, vinegar, sugar and other seasonings (I like to heat it up a bit to dissolve the sugar more quickly and thoroughly; let it cool before proceeding, though). Pour over cucumbers and marinate for at least a couple of hours before serving.

This is from an old church cookbook (called "Helping Hands") that my mother-in-law brought with her during a recent visit. These are my favorite marinated cucumbers! You can add a little onion, but I like them just as is.
