2 lb. ground chuck
Blackened Spice Mix:
2 tsp. dried oregano
2 tsp. dried thyme
1-1/2 tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. salt
1-1/2 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. onion powder
Other:
6 split and toasted kaiser rolls
6 oz. blue cheese or gorgonzola
Burger condiments of your choice

Directions:

Form burgers into 1/3 pound patties and chill. Mix ingredients for blackened spice together and dredge burgers in mixture until nicely coated. Grill burgers over hot coals until well done. Do not smash burgers while cooking. Serve on toasted kaiser rolls, covered with cheese and condiments of your choice.

I love these. They serve something like this at a wings bar I like to go to. While theirs are really tasty, home cooked food is always best!
