3 lg. russet potatos
2 tbsp. canola oil
1 lb. lean boneless pork (shoulder or butt), cut into strips
2 cloves garlic, minced
1-1/2 cups water
3 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. sugar
2-3/4 tsp. Chinese 5 spice powder
1/3 cup sliced green onions

Directions:

Peel potatoes and cut crosswise into 1/2 inch slices; set aside. Place wok on high or if using gas, use high flame. When hot, add oil. Once oil starts to get hot add pork and garlic; stir fry until pork is browned. Add potatoes, water, soy sauce, sugar and 5 spice. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes or until potatos are done. Turn off heat and add the green onion, mix together. Serve with steamed rice.
