Ingredients:

1 can (22 oz.) cherry pie filling
1 can (15 oz.) pineapple chunks, drained
1 box (18-1/4 oz.) dry cake mix, white or lemon
1 can (3-1/2 oz.) shredded coconut
1 to 2 cup chopped nuts (Macadamians are the best)
1 cup melted butter

Directions:

Lightly grease a 9x13-inch glass Pyrex dish or SS pan. Spread ingredients in layers in order listed. Pat down lightly, DO NOT MIX. Bake in a 325°F oven for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot or cold with or without wiped cream or ice cream.

I know it comes from a box/can but it keeps good on the shelf for a long period of time. Also can be made within 2 hours of dinner. And it's good... a bachelor's special!
