Ingredients:

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 sm. onion, chopped
1 can Anhovies, packed in oil
1/4 cup capers, packed in brine and rinsed
2 tbsp. pine nuts (pignoli)
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup white wine
1 tbsp. parsley, chopped

Directions:

Soak the raisins in warm water for about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside. Saute onion in olive oil for 1 minute, or until limp. Add anchovies, capers, raisins and pine nuts and saute for 3 to 5 minutes over medium heat. Add wine and parsley and saute for an additional 1 minute, then remove from heat and let cool.

In a lot of recipes I keep mentioning a combination of ingredients that is typically Sicilian. Here is a recipe for just that combination to use as a topping for boiled potatoes or other vegetables, but as a topping for Crostini or toasted Italian Bread it is outstanding.
