Ingredients:

1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 lb. bittersweet chocolate
2 tbsp. orange juice
1 orange
1/2 cup Grand Marnier (or to taste)

Directions:

Peel the zest from the orange with a vegtable peeler. Put the zest and the cream in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over low heat. Turn off the heat and let steep for a few minutes.

Grate the chocolate and put in the fondue pot. Remove the zest from the cream and pour into the chocolate. Melt the chocolate slowly. If necessary put the pot over a some simmering water to help melt. Stir the chocolate and cream together. Add the orange juice and stir. Stir in the Grand Marnier.

Serve in a fondue pot or over a double boiler with simmering water in it.

We serve it with cut up fresh fruit and cut up chunks of cake.

User Reviews:

Einar, this was absolutely wonderful. I ate so much fondue that I felt as round as a bowling ball. I just couldn't stop. Heavenly.
