Ingredients:

1 acorn squash
1 tbsp. butter
1 to 2 tbsp. plus 1/2 tsp. brown sugar

Directions:

Cut acorn squash in half going with the natural grooves. Scoop out the seeds. In the hollow center of your acorn squash, add 1-2 tbsp. brown sugar and 1 tbsp. butter. Sprinkle some more brown sugar over the butter and a little on the meat of the squash.

Place both halves in a brownie pan with 1/4-inch of water in the pan (This will help keep the skin of your squash moist while it is cooking preventing you from baking through the skin). Bake at 350°F for 30-45 minutes. When the meat of the squash is soft and darker in color, remove from the oven and serve.

User Reviews:

This is a great recipe and easy to make. Up here in New England we make it with maple syrup and brown sugar. Try it with pumpkin to.
