Ingredients:

1 flank steak, scored*

Marinade:
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 to 2 tsp. fresh ginger root, minced
2 scallions, chopped
3 tbsp. light soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tbsp. dry sherry
Salt and pepper to taste
Hot red pepper flakes or cayenne to taste**

Directions:

Combine all marinade ingredients. Marinate at least 1 hour or overnight (overnight is best). Grill to desired degree of doneness.

I generally serving this dish with fried rice and a stir fried vegetable.

* Pork chops or chicken breasts work well too.
** Or use Chinese chili paste with garlic or Chinese hot oil
