Ingredients:

1 lb. filet steak, cut into strips
1/2 lb. field mushrooms, finely diced
1-1/4 tsp. cracked steak pepper
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. dried oregano
2 md. spanish onions, finely diced
3/4 bottle dry white wine
1/2 to 1 pint fresh double cream, according to taste

Directions:

Fry steak strips, mushrooms, onions and spices in butter for 5 minutes. Add wine and simmer for 10 minutes. Add fresh cream and bring to a simmer. Serve with fresh crusty bread.

Comments from Anita O'Grady :

It is best if you use a whole french bread loaf for 2 people, roughly broken up and placed into a nice basket with a napkin. Great as an anniversary meal, especially with candles and wine.
