Total Time:

1:00

Ingredients:

3/4 cup round rice
2 pints milk
2/3 cup raisins
1 tsp. salt
Butter

Topping:
8 oz. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:

Simmer the rice and milk over low heat for one hour, stirring occasionally. When the pudding is cooked, add salt to taste and stir in a knob of butter and the raisins. Blend the sugar and cinnamon together to sprinkle over each plate. Serve the rice pudding hot with milk or cream.

If you are in a hurry, just cover the rice with a little cold water and cook until tender. Then add the milk, salt, butter and raisins.
