1-1/3 lb. ground beef.
1 piece (2-inch) ginger
2 to 4 cloves garlic
1/2 onion
1/2 to 1 tsp. cumin powder
1 to 2 tsp. coriander powder
1 to 2 tsp. paprika powder
1 green chili pepper, diced (optional)
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
2/3 tsp. salt (to taste)
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sour cream

Directions:

Blend together uncooked ground beef, sour cream, garlic, onion, ginger and spices with half the oil. Marinate for 30 minutes to overnight.
Roll the ground beef into a 5-inch thick log on a slightly-flour covered surface. Pre-heat oven to 375°F. Grease a non-stick baking pan.
Put the rolled beef on this pan and and bake for 25 minutes. Increase temperature to 475°F and let bake for 5 minutes. Then set oven to broil and allow it to bake for another 1 to 1-1/2 minutes. Remove from oven. Serve with minced cucumber, onion and/or tomatoes or ketchup.
