Comments from einar :

I have made this recipe many times for cook outs and for hundreds of people at a time. It is a recipe that you can put it on the stove and almost forget about it until it's done. It gives you lots of time to do other things and it taste pretty good too!

User Reviews:

This is great for a variety of menus - to make it more Mexican. I add Cumin, a couple of whole fresh jalapenos and chopped Cilantro and tada - Mexican!

these pintos are killer, the only thing i did to change the recipe was add 1/2 bell pepper and 1/4 tsp. of ground cumin. we ate them up!!! served with a baked chicken, mexican rice, spring salad, sliced avacado and warm corn tortillas. lots of salsa
