Ingredients:

5 cups unbleached flour
11 tsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1-1/2 cups butter, cold, cut into several pieces
1-1/4 to 1-1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups frozen blueberries (mix in frozen)

Directions:

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut butter into dry ingredients until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Mix together milk and eggs; add to butter mixture until dough forms. Add blueberries; mix. Spoon onto baking sheet, forming about 14 scones. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.

Comments from Missy :

I add 1 c. raisins and sprinkle cinnamon in the dough for a change from the blueberries.

Refrigerate scones once cooled when using blueberries.

Recipe is from Lisa Siu of Kakaako Kitchen.
