Ingredients:

2 cups sugar
1 cup water
3 cups corn syrup
7/8 cup egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Mix sugar, water and 2-1/2 cups corn syrup. Cook to 245°F; cool 15 minutes. While cooling, place in seperate bowl: 1/2 cup warm white corn syrup; mix thoroughly. Beat in first mixture. Add vanilla. Jar or can. Do not cover until cold.

Add the egg whites in the second step where it says ... in a separate bowl add warm corn syrup and mix thoroughly ... It works!!


The recipe doesn't describe how/when to use the egg whites !!!
