Total Time:

1 day

Ingredients:

1 lb. fresh string beans
4 qt. water
1 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. sugar, or to taste
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp. honey mustard
1 clove fresh garlic
2 cups olive oil

Directions:

Snap and wash string beans. Bring salted water to boil in a large pot. While waiting for the water to boil make the dressing. Put balsamic vinegar in a medium mixing bowl, add honey mustard, olive oil, sugar, salt and pepper, and crushed or grated garlic. Whisk together until thoroughly blended. When water boils add string beans and cook for approximatly 15 to 20 minutes. Drain and put beans in dressing let sit for a few hours or overnight. Serve cold.

Comments from Flop zambino :

This beans are supposed to be slighty crunchy. They are delicious served cold as a salad topper or side dish. Shake or stir beans while in the refridgerator whenever you go into the refridgerator to evenly distribute the dressing.
