Ingredients:

1 pint milk,. 3ozs pearl(desert) washed rice, three teaapoonfull sugar, rosewater(1 1/2 tspf), gob of butter, nutmeg, beaten egg.
3 oz. pearl washed rice
3 tsp. sugar
1-1/2 tsp. rose water
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. butter
Nutmeg

Directions:

Bring milk to boil, slowly to avoid burning and sticking to bottom of pot. Add washed rice, butter, sugar; continue to simmer for about 25 minutes or until it thickens. Take off stove; add egg slowly, stirring all the time to avoid clotting. Add rose water. Rub butter in flatish dish. Pour in mixture. Sprinkle grated nutmeg on top. Bake in 230°F oven for about 15 minutes, until nicely brown and crispy on top.
