Servings:

30 to 40 pieces

Prep. Time:

1:00

Total Time:

Ingredients:

6 oz. package of semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup sugar
3 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/3 cup bourbon or whiskey
2-1/2 cups finely crushed vanilla wafers
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts

Directions:

In heavy medium saucepan, heat chocolate over low heat until melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat when melted. Stir in sugar and corn syrup until well blended. Stir in bourbon (or whiskey) until well mixed. Add vanilla wafers and nuts o mixture and mix well. Let mixture stand for 30 minutes to cool. Shape into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in additional sugar to coat. Store in tightly covered container. These freeze well, and "mellow" with age!

Comments from Chris :

You can also make "Rum Ball" by substituting butterscotch chips for the chocolate chips, and rum for the bourbon.
