Ingredients:

1 cup margarine (softened)
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2-1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2/3 cup chopped pecans
1 cup mini chocolate chips

Directions:

Mix first five ingredients and beat until creamy. Add eggs. Mix baking soda and flour in a separate bowl and spoon this gradually into the rest of the batter. Mix well. Stir in the pecans and HALF of the chocolate chips. Spread in a greased 9x13-inch pan and sprinkle the rest of the chocolate chips on top. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.

Comments from Kayla Hoefakker :

VARIATION: Omit the chocolate chips and pecans and use 3/4 cup of M&M's, putting half in the batter and half on top.

User Reviews:

Very good recipe! Two things not mentioned in the directions were when to add the vanilla pudding and the vanilla. I just took a guess and the bars turned out wonderfully. They remind me of a recipe, I use to make for my kid when they were little, called Buggs Bunny Bars.
