1 cup butter
2 cups chopped celery
1/2 tsp. pepper
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 tsp. leaf sage crumbled
4 cups chicken broth
2 eggs, beaten
12 cups dry bread crumbs
1 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 tsp. leaf thyme, crumbled

Directions:

Mix butter, celery, onion, spices, eggs and broth. Cook in slow cooker on high 45 minutes; reduce heat to low for 6 hours.

I'd love to try this recipe but as the other individual said when do you add the bread? Do all the ingredients go in the crock pot together? Thanks for your response as I really need a recipe that saves stove top space!
