Ingredients:

6 lg. granny smith apples, cored
1 cup sugar
1-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter, softened

Directions:

halve apples and slice. Place apples in bottom of ungreased 9x9-inch pan. Mix rest of ingredients until crumbly. Pour on top of apples. Gently press down so it is still loose and airy. Bake 350°F for 1 hour. Serve warm.

Very good with vanilla ice cream on top or to the side.

very fast and easy. i suggest forking the topping after baking so it looks more crumbly (since you packed it down before baking)

I ate almost the whole thing (my roommates werent home :P )
