Servings:

10 to 12 pieces

Prep. Time:

:30

Total Time:

2:30

Ingredients:

Pizza Dough:
3 cups bread flour
2-1/4 tsp. dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar

Toppings:
1-1/2 cups pizza sauce (your favorite)
12 oz. Muenster cheese
Other toppings, as desired

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a processor and process about 2 minutes. If you do not have one, knead all ingredients together until dough is medium soft and stretchy. Place in a large lightly oiled bowl. Cover with plastic and cloth and let raise 1 hour. Remove from bowl and stretch dough in a 12x17-inch cookie sheet with sides. If you arent used to this it may take a few more minutes. When dough is stretched evenly to fit pan, cover again with cloth AND plastic. Let raise another hour. Before the hour is up preheat your oven to 400°F. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Take out of oven and spread with your favorite sauce, about 1-1/2 cups (your preference). Sprinkle with garlic powder and top with about 12 oz. of Muenster cheese grated or sliced thinly. If you have a wooden pizza peel, sprinkle it with some cornmeal and place pizza on it, placing it on the bottom rack of your oven without the pan. Bake about 10 min. or until cheese just starts to bubble. Use pizza peel to remove. Cut into 10 or 12 cuts or however you would like to cut it. You may top it with onions, mushrooms, pepperoni, etc. Bake at 400°F.

Comments from Charlotte Hendershot :

In our area, N.E. Penna. this is the type of pizza that is popular. Try it at least once.

If you have a food processor this takes only about 3 minutes to prepare.
