Prep. Time:

Total Time:

2:30

Ingredients:

1 round steak (the thinner the better)
1 can French onion soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can water from each can

Directions:

Trim fat and cut steak into serving pieces. Sear pieces quickly in a roasting pan. Pour soups on to meat in the pan; cover. Bake at 350°F for 2-1/2 hours. If needed, may add little more water near end of baking if too much has evaporated.

Comments from Nancy Capko :

If there is any gravy left over, I freeze it and use it in making beef stew.

This makes it's OWN gravy to serve with mashed potatoes!!!

DELICIOUS!!!

User Reviews:

Comfort food that's easy to make! It's very good, with minimal effort required.

This is honestly the best tasting beef recipe around! Everyone I have made this recipe for loves it. Just remember, the longer it cooks the better since round steak is a tough cut of meat. Cooking it for over 2 1/2 hours makes it so tender you can cut it with a fork!
So yummy with garlic mashed potatoes!
