Servings:

2 to 4 loaves

Prep. Time:

Total Time:

Ingredients:

1 box Devil's Food Cake mix (Duncan Hine's preferred)
1-1/3 cups water
1/2 cup Canola oil
3 lg. eggs, slightly beaten
Pam Oil spray

Glaze:
4 tbsp. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. water

Directions:

Blend cake mix and water. Gradually add eggs. Add oil last.
Spray and flour loaf pans. Fill with cake mixture 1/3 to 1/2 full. Bake at 325°F for 40-45 minutes. Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the cake. Cake is done when toothpick comes out clean. Cool slightly then remove from pan. Glaze.

Glaze:
Mix water and powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle evenly over cakes.

Comments from Kathy Bolger :

Be sure to spray and flour even when using aluminum pans. Cake may split slightly down the center while baking, don't worry. Don't have to remove the cake from aluminum pans before glazing. Just glaze, cover and give away.
