Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter, cold

Filling:
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. almond extract
Whipped cream (optional)
Marachino cherries (optional)

Directions:

Pastry:
Mix flour sugar and salt. cut in butter until mixture resemblescoarse crumbs. Press firmly onto the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.

In a saucepan, combine milk, chocolate chips and salt; cookand stir over low heat until chocolate melts. Stir in pie filling and extract. Pour into crust. chill 2-3 hours or until firm. Garnish with whipped cream.

This is pretty good. I made a non-dairy (pareve) version of this, substituting 1 cup of Rich Whip for the can of sweetened condensed milk. I also used a graham-cracker crust. It came out pretty well. But, if you use too much milk, it comes out too liquidy, so you need to be careful. If it is too liquidy, you can freeze it, but if you do that, you will need to partially defrost it before serving...
