Ingredients:

1-1/2 lb. beef
1 lg. can tomatoes
3 stalks celery, tops included, chopped
1/2 head (md.) cabbage, chopped
1/2 cup rice
1 tsp. sugar
1 soup bone
1 lg. onion, chopped
6 to 8 carrots, chopped
5 md. potatoes, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp. celery seed

Directions:

Cover beef and bone with water and simmer about 1-1/2 hours or until partially done. Remove bone and add vegetables in order given. Continue to cook until vegetables are done.
