Ingredients:

2 cups flour
1 cup pecans
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions:

Process flour, pecans, and salt in food processor fitted with steel blade until mixture is a fine powder. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix dry ingredients into creamed mixture; knead until soft dough forms. Cover and chill 8 hours.

Preheat oven to 300°F. For cookie pattern, place desired gift box on tracing paper. Use pencil to draw around box. Cut out pattern 3/8-inch inside drawn line. On lightly floured surface, usedd floured rolling pin to roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Place pattern on dough and use sharp knife to cut around pattern.

Transfer cookies to greased baking sheet. Bake 20-25 minutes, until light brown. Cool completely on wire rack. Store in airtight container.
