Ingredients:

1 lb. fresh mushrooms
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped finely
1/4 cup onion, chopped finely
1-1/2 cups soft bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground thyme
1/4 tsp. turmeric
1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F Wash, trim and dry mushrooms thoroughly. Remove stems. Finely chop enough stems to measure 1/3 cup. Melt 2 tbsp. butter in skillet. Cook and stir chopped mushroom stems, green pepper and onion in butter until tender - about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients except mushroom caps and 1 tbsp. butter. Melt 1 tbsp. butter in shallow baking dish. Fill mushroom caps with stuffing mixture and place filled side up in baking dish. Bake 15 minutes, broil 3-4 inches from heat for 2 minutes. Serve hot.

times. I have also added shredded mozerrala on the
top before baking, taste great.
