1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 dash salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup chocolate syrup
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)

Directions:

Cream butter, sugar and eggs until creamy in large bowl. Add salt. Stir in flour and mix well. Add chocolate syrup, vanilla and nuts. Stir well. Pour mixture into greased 9-inch square pan and smooth top. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes.

I had some chocolate syrup that needed to be used so I gave this recipe a try. I would not say they are the "best", but the are certainly very good. Maybe it's because I prefer a more fudgey brownie and these came out on the cakey side. Use real butter and good vanilla! |
