1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1 jar (4 oz.) prune baby food
3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray. Combine all ingredients. Add nuts if desired. Bake about 30 minutes or until springy to touch. Cool on rack. Cut into 16 pieces.

I can't believe how light these brownies were. I substituted blueberry applesauce for the prunes and they turned out great. Only one problen next time I make them I will need to double the recipe. Thank you |
