Ingredients:

2-1/2 lb. beef stew meat
2 cups chopped carrots
2 cups chopped celery
3 onions, chopped
3 tbsp. tapioca
1 tbsp. sugar
1 can (28 oz.) tomatoes
1 cup diced potatoes
2 bay leaves
1/2 cup frozen peas
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3/4 cup hot water

Directions:

Combine all ingredients into heavy cookware. Bake covered at 250°F for five hours, stirring occasionally. Serve with dumplings or boiled potatoes or buttered noodles.
