About Me: I have been working as a chef for 24 years. I went two schools to learn more in New York. But I feel that I learned a lot of what I know from my mother who is a great cook. I remember many years ago she told me that I would be a good chef. But I told her I wanted to be a policeman or a doctor. It goes to show you what mothers know!
I am married to a great woman who lets me play in the kitchen at home and buy what ever new cooking toy I want. And we both like to garden and use what we grow and try to use fresh things in our cooking from the garden.
I change the types of food I make to keep up with the new fads or in some cases be ahead of them.
At home I love to cook out on the grill or try out my smoker with something new that I heard about. I like to cook for the whole family and friends on holidays. Having every one that I care about near me makes me feel a lot better. And that way I don't have to do the dishes! In the last couple of years I have gotten in to brewing my own beer at home wich goes with my cooking. Now I just have to try making my own wine at home.
I am also trying to put a cook book together with some of the recipe that I have posted here and I have many more that I have made over the years.
I enjoy posting my recipes here on Foodgeeks and seeing what people think about my recipes. I think that the comments help me get a grip on how the recipe is out in the real world.
I am now not cooking for a living but still like to keep up with all the new stuff that has to do with cooking. I just needed to take a break and find out how life is without working nights,weekends and holidays or split shifts.
